Tajikistan's Foreign Minister, Sirodjiddin Muhriddin, met with Catherine Smithton, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Tajikistan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral relations and expressed mutual interest in further developing and deepening cooperation in various areas, including politics, economics, education, and security.
Particular attention was paid to regional and international issues, as well as cooperation within international organizations. A commitment to continuing political dialogue and implementing joint projects was also confirmed.
The parties emphasized the importance of further strengthening the legal framework for cooperation and developing contacts between government agencies, business communities, and scientific and educational institutions of the two countries.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the meeting took place in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and constructive dialogue.
