During a working visit to Gissar, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Sulaimon Ziyozoda got acquainted with the activities of dehkan farms and the progress of agricultural campaigns, the Executive Authority of the city of Gissar reports.
During the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister visited a construction site – a new production facility of JSC Agrotekhservis, where he was shown samples of agricultural machinery and mechanisms modernized by local engineers.
Sulaimon Ziyozoda also inspected the fields in the rural jamoats of Navobod, Gissar and Durbat, where cotton, corn, legumes, fruits and vegetables are grown. In addition, he got acquainted with the current state of sowing of agricultural crops.
As noted by local experts, the agricultural sector of Gissar has significant potential and plays an important role in ensuring food security of the republic. Sulaimon Ziyozoda emphasized that the achievements of Gissar farmers correspond to the priorities outlined in the state strategy for the development of agriculture.
Also during the visit, issues of increasing crop yields, introducing modern agricultural technologies and the efficient use of agricultural machinery were discussed.
