In the first half of 2025, the volume of agricultural exports from Tajikistan amounted to 90.3 thousand tons for a total of 33.9 million US dollars. This is 13.2 thousand tons more than in the same period of 2024. This was announced by the First Deputy Director of the Export Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Khurshed Zukhurzoda during a press conference in Dushanbe.
According to him, the main share in the export structure is occupied by processed products – in particular, dried fruits, the export of which reached the amount of 18.2 million dollars. Next come fresh fruits – for 7.9 million dollars, vegetables – for 4.7 million dollars and other types of agricultural products – for 3.1 million dollars.
Products of Tajik farmers were supplied to 50 countries of the near and far abroad, including the CIS countries, the Middle East, South Asia and Europe.
The increase in supply volumes, as Zukhurzoda noted, became possible thanks to the expansion of cultivated areas, improvement of logistics infrastructure and improvement of the quality of domestic products.
The Agency representative also emphasized that in the near future it is planned to increase export volumes by increasing the processing of products within the country and expanding the geography of deliveries.
Developing the export potential of the agricultural sector is one of the priority tasks of the Government of Tajikistan. To this end, measures are being taken to provide benefits to agricultural producers, attract investment in logistics and introduce modern technologies in the agro-industrial complex.
