A delegation of investors from the People's Republic of China, headed by He Kangtai, Director of Taj China International Limited Liability Company, visited the Kulyab Free Economic Zone (FEZ) on July 26 to study the investment potential of the region. This was reported by the Executive Authority of State Authority of Khatlon Region.
During the visit, the guests got acquainted with the infrastructure and production capabilities of the SEZ, and held working meetings with representatives of the zone administration. The head of the administration of the Kulyab SEZ, Mustafa Abdullozoda, presented the Chinese delegation with information about the projects being implemented in the region, the process of construction of industrial facilities and related infrastructure, including an electrical substation and a 20-bed hotel.
During the presentation, special attention was paid to investment preferences provided by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the geographical advantages of the zone's location, transport accessibility and the presence of significant reserves of local raw materials. Prospects for expanding economic cooperation in such areas as raw material processing, auto parts production and development of the handicraft industry were also considered.
The delegation also visited the production site of the Limited Liability Company "Tojik Almos", where they were introduced to the production of auto parts, including air and oil filters.
Following the visit, representatives of the Chinese side expressed interest in further studying the possibilities of the Kulyab FEZ and indicated their readiness to continue the dialogue on the implementation of joint projects.
