In the first half of 2025, 5924 schoolchildren took part in the republican stage of subject Olympiads among students of general educational institutions of Tajikistan, of which 2925 became prize winners. This was announced by the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan Rahim Saidzoda at a press conference dedicated to the results of the socio-economic development of the industry for the first six months of this year.
As the minister specified, 242 students won first place, 501 second place and 2182 third place. In order to ensure equal opportunities and attract public attention to supporting children with disabilities, the Deaf Olympiad in general education subjects for children with hearing impairments was held for the first time in Central Asia. It was attended by 174 schoolchildren, of whom 76 became prize winners, demonstrating a high level of knowledge in five disciplines.
Tajik schoolchildren also actively participated in international subject Olympiads. During the first half of the year, 7,980 students took part in 19 international competitions, following which 506 won first place, 840 won second place, and 1,349 won third place.
According to the Minister, these indicators indicate a steady increase in the quality of school education, the expansion of inclusive initiatives and the strengthening of the international position of the education system of Tajikistan.
