In the first six months of 2025, 9,279 cases of violations of environmental legislation were recorded in Tajikistan. This was reported by the Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Bakhodur Sheralizoda at a press conference on the results of the first half of the year held on July 25.
According to the data provided, appropriate response measures have been taken in all cases. The largest number of violations — 3,796 — were identified in the area of land and subsoil protection and waste management.
In the sphere of state control over the use and protection of flora and fauna, as well as fish stocks, 2,168 violations were recorded. Violations in the field of water resources protection amounted to 1,521 cases, atmospheric air – 1,164, in the field of environmental assessment – 240. In specially protected natural areas, 390 violations were identified.
According to Sheralizoda, systematic environmental control and increased work by the state inspection make it possible to promptly identify violations and prevent damage to nature.
