In the first half of 2025, Dushanbe International Airport Joint Stock Company served 1,044,271 passengers, of which 483,027 passengers arrived in the country, and 561,244 passengers departed from the capital. This was reported today during a press conference at the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
According to the data of the General Director of the Open Joint-Stock Company "Dushanbe International Airport" Zainullo Sharifzoda, the total volume of cargo and mail received and sent by the cargo terminal of Dushanbe airport for the first six months of this year amounted to 578.9 tons. Of this volume, 515.7 tons were export cargo, and 63.2 tons were imported cargo. Compared with the first half of 2024, the volume of processed cargo decreased by 591.6 tons, which is equivalent to a decrease of 50.5 percent.
Flights from Dushanbe International Airport are operated by 14 airlines. Among them are six long-haul foreign air carriers: Fly Dubai from the United Arab Emirates, Turkish Airlines from the Republic of Turkey, China Airlines from the People's Republic of China, Mahan Air from the Islamic Republic of Iran, Jazeera Airways from the State of Kuwait and AZAL from the Republic of Azerbaijan. In addition, seven airlines of the Commonwealth of Independent States operate flights to Dushanbe. These are Utair, Ural Airlines, North Wind, S7 Airlines from the Russian Federation, Air Astana from the Republic of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan Airways from the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as two national airlines – Somon Air Limited Liability Company and Tajik Air Joint Stock Company.
In the first half of 2025, the total number of flights handled was 3,807, 218 more than in the same period in 2024 and an increase of 6.1 percent. During the reporting period, the airport also provided services for 204 non-scheduled charter flights, 15 flights or 7 percent less than in the first half of last year.
Dushanbe International Airport continues to work to improve the quality of passenger service, develop infrastructure and enhance flight safety, which contributes to strengthening air traffic and developing the transport system of the Republic of Tajikistan.
