Kazakhstan and Tajikistan are strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of state statistics. A delegation from Tajikistan arrived on a four-day working visit to the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The delegation included representatives of the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Executive Office of the President, the Ministry of Finance and the Center for Statistical Research.
The visit program includes familiarization with Kazakhstan's experience in developing the system of national accounts, maintaining and updating statistical registers, using administrative data, and introducing digital solutions in statistical activities.
"We are open to cooperation and ready to share the results of our work. Since 2022, Kazakhstan has been actively implementing the Concept for the Development of State Statistics and the National Data Ecosystem. As a result of the reforms, the Bureau received the authority to assess the quality of administrative sources and access to alternative data," said Maksat Turlubayev, Head of the Bureau of National Statistics.
The Bureau emphasized that the visit of the Tajik delegation will serve as a basis for further strengthening partnerships and exchanging best practices in the field of statistics between the two countries.
