There remains a significant shortage of personnel in government agencies in Tajikistan – 4,102 positions are unstaffed by July 1, 2025. This was reported by the Director of the Civil Service Agency under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Ilyos Idriszoda at a press conference held on Monday.
According to him, out of 22,711 staff positions provided for in state authorities and self-government bodies of settlements and villages, only 18,609 are occupied, which is 81.9% of the total.
"Today, 4,682 women work in government agencies in the country, which is 25.1% of the total number of employees. At the same time, 1,159 women hold leadership positions, which is 19% of the total number of managers," Idriszoda noted.
He also added that the Agency is working to increase the attractiveness of the civil service and personnel renewal in the state apparatus. Particular attention is paid to attracting young specialists and ensuring gender balance.
