Two minor citizens of Tajikistan, left without care in the territory of the Russian Federation, were returned to their homeland. This was reported on Wednesday by the press service of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Russian Federation.
“On July 17, 2025, with the assistance of the Consular Section of the Embassy of Tajikistan in Russia, in close cooperation with the competent authorities of the host country, two minor citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan left without parental care were returned to their homeland,” the statement said.
The return procedure was carried out on the basis of the Agreement on Cooperation of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Matters of Returning Minors to the States of their Permanent Residence.
The diplomatic mission noted that during the repatriation process, all norms of international law ensuring the protection of the rights and interests of minors were observed.
Information about the identities of the children, the circumstances as a result of which they were left without guardianship, as well as the length of their stay in this situation, is not disclosed in the interests of the minors themselves.
The embassy emphasized that work to protect the rights and interests of Tajik citizens abroad, including minors, continues on an ongoing basis.
