An extended working meeting on the results of the socio-economic development of the city for the first half of 2025 was held in the hall of the Executive Body of State Authority of the city of Gissar. The event was chaired by the head of the city, member of the National Council of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Nosirzoda Jabbor, with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan Dilrabo Mansuri, a representative of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the press service of the city administration reports .
The meeting was attended by the first deputy and deputy chairmen of the city, the head of the office, heads of departments and divisions, representatives of law enforcement agencies, chairmen and secretaries of rural and village jamoats, heads of organizations, farms and institutions, representatives of public associations, religious figures and media representatives.
The keynote speech was given by Deputy Chairman of the City Khairiddin Nuralizoda, who detailed the results of the analysis of the city’s socio-economic development for the first six months of this year.
According to the data, during the specified period, the volume of gross regional output amounted to 2 billion 276.1 million somoni, which is 209.7 million somoni higher than the same period in 2024. The growth rate was 113%, including: industry – 106.9%; agriculture – 107.5%; investment and construction – 159.3%; trade turnover – 107.3%; services – 112.6%.
The city budget revenue, including social tax, was planned at 186.6 million somoni, while more than 195 million somoni were actually received (105% of the plan). Local budget revenues were fulfilled by 103.1% (exceeded by 4.3 million somoni), and the social insurance budget by 110.2% (exceeded by over 5 million somoni). At the same time, tax arrears remain high and amount to more than 9 million somoni.
The city chairman heard the reports of the relevant deputies, paying special attention to the implementation of the Program for the socio-economic development of the city of Gissar for 2021-2026, as well as the implementation of the Action Plan within the framework of the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the state independence of Tajikistan.
Deputy Prime Minister Dilrabo Mansouri noted the sustainable nature of the city's development in her speech and voiced a number of recommendations and instructions, including the commissioning of facilities by the anniversary of independence; the elimination of tax arrears; the development of entrepreneurship and the banking sector; the improvement of education, healthcare, culture and sports; the efficient use of electricity and the search for alternative sources; an increase in agricultural production; the prevention of threats to society, such as crime, extremism and destructive ideologies.
In conclusion, the city chairman Nosirzoda Jabbor summed up the meeting and gave instructions to the heads of the relevant structures to eliminate the shortcomings identified in the first half of the year.
