The Tajik Interior Ministry has detained several suspects on charges of stealing personal property, the press service of the republic's Interior Ministry reported.
Thus, a 33-year-old local resident filed a complaint with the OMVD in the city of Bokhtar. According to him, on July 11 of this year at about 11:30 p.m. an unknown person broke the window of his Toyota Corolla-3. Having made sure that there were no valuables in the car, the offender fled the scene. The amount of material damage was 6,500 somoni.
As a result of operational and investigative activities, police officers established the identity of the alleged criminal. He turned out to be a 16-year-old resident of the city of Bokhtar, previously convicted under Article 244 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan ("Theft").
In another case, the OMVD #1 in the Shokhmansur district of Dushanbe received a statement from a 40-year-old citizen of the People's Republic of China, temporarily residing in the capital. He reported that on July 10 at about 11:30 p.m. 22,000 somoni were stolen from his BMW. Unknown persons broke into the car and fled in an unknown direction.
Hot on the trail, police officers identified and detained a 32-year-old resident of Dushanbe, suspected of committing this crime. An investigation is underway.
In addition, a 47-year-old local resident contacted the OMVD-1 in the Firdavsi district of Dushanbe, stating that between July 9 and 13 of this year, her 19-year-old son, together with his peer, broke into her apartment and stole 2,200 US dollars. A criminal case has also been opened on this fact, and an investigation is underway.
