On July 21, 2026, Aziz Nazar, Deputy Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan, received a delegation from Chongqing, People's Republic of China, who arrived in Tajikistan on a working visit. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed expanding bilateral cooperation in industry, digital technologies, the creation of industrial parks, the gradual localization of electric vehicle and motorcycle production, and the training of highly qualified personnel.


The negotiators paid special attention to the implementation of the results of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, to Chongqing, which took place in May of this year. In this regard, the parties emphasized the importance of effectively leveraging the existing potential for the practical implementation of the agreements reached during the visit.
Following the meeting, the Chinese side received a package of project documentation intended for the launch of joint investment and educational initiatives.
The parties also confirmed their readiness to further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation and implement joint projects in priority areas of industrial development.
