As of July 1, 2026 , 876,980 pensioners were registered with social security agencies in Tajikistan. This was announced today at a press conference summarizing the first half of the year by the Director of the Agency for Social Insurance and Pensions under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
According to the data provided, 152,565 pension recipients are disabled, 11,427 are orphans receiving a survivor's pension, and 17,121 are veterans.





In addition, 507 participants in the Great Patriotic War and persons equivalent to them , as well as 20,506 citizens affected by the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident, receive pensions.
According to the Agency's director, there are 259 pensioners over 100 years of age in the republic. Of these, 136 live in the Khatlon region, 80 in the city of Dushanbe and the districts of republican subordination, 42 in the Sughd region, and one in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.
The Agency noted that the pension system covers various categories of the population, including senior citizens, people with disabilities, children who have lost a breadwinner, veterans, and other socially vulnerable groups.
