Cases of hooliganism and the use of knives and other sharp objects by minors during conflicts continue to be recorded in Dushanbe, according to the Dushanbe Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
To prevent such crimes, the capital's police have been conducting a simulated operation called "Knife" for the past several years.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during the first six months of this year, 28 knives of various types, brass knuckles, bats, and other items used as bladed weapons were found and confiscated from minors and young people during an operation.
The capital's police note that an analysis of the situation indicates that preventative efforts are achieving certain results. A number of preventative measures, including Operation Knife, have contributed to a certain reduction in juvenile crime.
However, the Ministry of Internal Affairs believes that the measures taken so far are insufficient. Therefore, the Moscow police urge all citizens, especially parents, to not be indifferent to the upbringing and education of their children.
