Tajikistan's initiatives and achievements in artificial intelligence and digital economic development were presented at international summits in Geneva, according to the press service of the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Agency Director Khurshed Mirzo took part in the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS+20) and the Artificial Intelligence Summit, which are being held in Geneva, Switzerland, under the auspices of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
Khurshed Mirzo spoke at the event about the country's achievements in developing the digital economy and artificial intelligence.
During the speech, it was noted that, at the initiative of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, 2025–2030 have been declared the “Years of Digital Economy and Innovation Development” in the republic.


In addition, the country adopted the Strategy for the Development of Artificial Intelligence until 2040, which became the first strategy of its kind in Central Asia.
The presentation focused on the initiative to establish a Regional Artificial Intelligence Center in Dushanbe. The center is planned to be established as part of the IT HUB DUSHANBE project.
Tajikistan's active role in promoting international cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence was also emphasized.
In this context, the adoption by the United Nations General Assembly of a resolution on the role of artificial intelligence in ensuring sustainable development in Central Asia was noted.
