In Tajikistan, construction of new international fiber-optic communication lines with neighboring countries is planned for 2026–2028.
According to the Communications Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, new lines are planned to be built in several international directions.
In particular, we are talking about the routes Isfara (Vorukh) – Kyrgyz Republic, Kulma – People's Republic of China, Penjikent (Sarazm) – Uzbekistan (Samarkand), Shakhritus – Uzbekistan (Termez), and Fotekhobod – Uzbekistan (Oybek).
Currently, a number of fiber-optic trunk lines are already operating between Tajikistan and neighboring countries, providing international communications.
Such networks operate on the routes Isfara – Kyrgyzstan via Guliston, Spitamen – Uzbekistan via Bekabad and Tursunzade – Uzbekistan via Sariasiya.
An international fiber-optic line also operates in the direction of Nizhny Panj – Afghanistan via Karadum.
The expansion of international communication channels is part of the development of Tajikistan's telecommunications and digital infrastructure.
