The General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee and the Chairman of the Cambodian People's Party discussed the development of cooperation between the two countries.

General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and President of the People's Republic of China (PRC) Xi Jinping met in Beijing with Hun Sen, Chairman of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) and President of the Senate. Xi Jinping congratulated Hun Sen on the 75th anniversary of the founding of the CPP. He stated that China has always regarded Cambodia as a key player in its diplomacy with neighboring countries, firmly supporting it in safeguarding its national sovereignty and security and choosing a development path suited to its national conditions. Xi Jinping stated that China is willing to cooperate with Cambodia to maintain peace, ensure common development, and ensure prosperity. He emphasized that both countries should work together to bring greater stability to peace and development in the region. Hun Sen, in turn, noted that Cambodia has always firmly adhered to the one-China principle and supported the country's efforts to combat separatism on Taiwan.
