Chinese Premier Li Qiang addressed the plenary session of the World Economic Forum's 17th Annual Meeting of Emerging Global Leaders, also known as "Summer Davos," in Dalian. He stated that the Chinese economy is currently characterized by four pillars: stability, innovation, dynamism, and integration with the rest of the world.
Chinese Premier Li Qiang: "We have already introduced a zero-tariff regime for 63 countries. China has confidently held the second-largest import volume in the world for 17 consecutive years."
Li Qiang spoke about China's rich experience in innovative development. He emphasized that technological innovation stimulates the modernization of production, which, in turn, accelerates further technological development. He cited China's vast market and its powerful manufacturing base as a solid foundation for this. Li Qiang reaffirmed China's commitment to innovation and high-quality development.
Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Qiang: "This year, we will begin the full implementation of the 15th Five-Year Plan. During this period, we will continue to focus on developing critical technologies, significantly increase funding for basic research, and consistently enhance our capacity for innovation, providing continuous impetus for the high-quality and sustainable development of the Chinese economy. The next step will be to deepen the integration of scientific, technological, and industrial innovation, continuously expand domestic demand, accelerate the large-scale introduction of new technologies and new products, and ensure the continued strengthening of the mutually beneficial tandem of science, technology, and industry."
