Tajik healthcare specialists are studying Turkey's best practices during a study tour from June 8 to 12, according to the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The working group included representatives from the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan. During the visit, they learned about the timely assessment of the epidemiological situation, notification mechanisms at the district, regional, and national levels, and the procedures for collecting, storing, packaging, and transporting biological samples.
In addition, the participants of the trip studied measures for isolating patients and ensuring the safety of healthcare workers in the event of threats of the spread of infectious diseases.
During the meetings and consultations, special attention was paid to coordinating the activities of epidemiological surveillance services, laboratory units, and clinical departments. The parties also reviewed information exchange mechanisms and discussed existing challenges and obstacles in this area.
During his visit, Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan Abdukholik Amirzoda held a series of meetings with Turkish healthcare specialists. During the talks, the sides discussed emergency medical care, infectious disease prevention in emergency situations, and other pressing public health issues.
According to the ministry, the Tajik delegation's familiarization visit to Turkey will last until June 12.
