The Dushanbe Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has called on residents of the capital to strengthen supervision of children during the swimming season and prevent them from being near bodies of water without adult supervision.
According to the Dushanbe Department of Internal Affairs, every year with the onset of swimming season, numerous cases of drowning of children and adolescents in rivers, lakes, canals, and other dangerous swimming areas are recorded. The department noted that most such tragedies occur due to carelessness, failure to follow safety rules, and inadequate supervision by adults.
In this regard, the police called on citizens, especially parents, to pay particular attention to the safety of minors and not allow them to swim in rivers, lakes, canals, and other dangerous places without adult supervision.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized that even a short-term lack of attention and control can lead to tragic consequences. The agency reminded that ensuring the life and health of children is one of the primary responsibilities of every parent.
