The National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Tajikistan has noted a decline in youth interest in traditional sports. NOC First Vice President Dilshod Nazarov stated this at the session "The Future of the Olympic Movement: Challenges and Prospects" held at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), TASS reports.

According to Dilshod Nazarov, the Olympic community needs to find new ways to engage young people in sports.

"Young people are moving away from traditional sports. They're interested in short, dynamic events," noted the NOC First Vice President. He emphasized that the Olympic movement must adapt to changing audience interests and create conditions for attracting young people to sports.

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is taking place from June 3 to 6. The main theme of the event is "Pragmatic Dialogue: The Path to a Stable Future." The forum's program is dedicated to the formation of a new model of global development in the context of global economic transformation.
