An international meeting of high-level representatives responsible for security issues, as part of the International Security Forum, took place on May 28 in Moscow, Russia, reports NIAT Khovar.
The Republic of Tajikistan was represented at the events by the Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Tajikistan, Yusuf Rahmon.
High-level delegations from more than 145 countries, as well as representatives of international and regional organizations, took part in the forum and meeting.
The International Security Forum hosted a meeting of high-level representatives responsible for security issues. Participants discussed current issues of international and regional security, contemporary challenges and threats, including international terrorism and extremism, transnational organized crime, drug trafficking, cyber threats, and strengthening international cooperation amid ongoing geopolitical tensions.
Particular attention was paid to the processes of transformation of the modern world order and the formation of a multipolar world based on the principles of equality, mutual respect, non-interference in the internal affairs of states, and compliance with international law.
In his speech, Yusuf Rahmon noted that the Republic of Tajikistan, under the leadership of President Emomali Rahmon, consistently advocates for strengthening international cooperation in the area of security, expanding collective response mechanisms, and promoting constructive dialogue on key issues on the global and regional agenda.
It was emphasized that Tajikistan, pursuing a peaceful "open door" policy, consistently advocates the resolution of all conflicts and disagreements exclusively through political and diplomatic means, as well as the development of trusting and mutually respectful international cooperation.
The importance of uniting the efforts of the international community to counter modern threats and ensure stability and sustainable development was also noted.
Following the events, participants confirmed their interest in further developing cooperation and maintaining regular dialogue on international security issues.
