During a working visit to the Jaykhun district, Khatlon Region Governor Davlatali Said inspected the progress of construction and installation work at the solar power plant, according to the Khatlon Region Governor's press service.
It is noted that the implementation of the energy project is carried out within the framework of the creative policy of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and with the ongoing support of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
As the source recalls, on November 20, 2025, in the city of Gulistan, after commissioning new hydroelectric units at the Kairakkum Hydroelectric Power Station, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon simultaneously launched two new energy projects in the Asht and Jaykhun districts.

According to the project, a solar power plant with a total capacity of 500 megawatts will be built in the Jayhun district. It will be one of the largest energy projects in the region.
The facility is being constructed with government support and local and international companies. The total investment is $125 million. Once operational, the plant is expected to significantly improve electricity supply to the population and various sectors of the national economy.

Work on this strategically important facility is being carried out by Ayon Energy as a local investor and Tajikhydroelectromontazh as a contractor, in cooperation with Chinese companies.
During the inspection, Davlatali Said instructed those responsible to ensure high quality construction work, adherence to established deadlines, efficient use of existing capabilities, and compliance with modern construction standards.
