On April 30, 2026, intense rainfall, accompanied by heavy rain and hail, resulted in flooding and mudflows in Tajikistan, according to the country's Emergency Situations Committee.
As noted, the Emergency Situations Committee units immediately arrived at the scene and began eliminating the consequences of the disaster.
In Dushanbe, rescue operations were carried out in several districts. In the Sino district, Emergency Situations Commission personnel pumped water out of basements, including Maternity Hospital No. 1, as well as residential buildings and infrastructure. In the Shokhmansur district, water was quickly pumped out of the basement of the Emergency Clinical Hospital.



In the districts of republican subordination, rescuers worked in the Rudaki region, clearing mud, pumping water, and providing assistance to residents. In the city of Gissar, engineering equipment was used to clear a road of mudslides, restore traffic, and evacuate students from School No. 91.
In the Khatlon region, in the districts of Hamadoni and Dangara, units of the Emergency Situations Commission have arrived at the scene of the incidents and are carrying out cleanup operations, clearing the area, and assessing the damage caused.


In the Sughd region, rescue services are working at the site of a bridge collapse in the city of Isfara, ensuring safety. In the Bobojon Gafurov district, cleanup efforts are underway and damage to agricultural land is being assessed.
According to the Emergency Situations Commission, thanks to the prompt and coordinated actions of rescuers, no casualties were reported. The situation remains under control.
