A high-level meeting of the Joint Steering Committee of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the United Nations was held in the capital of Tajikistan. The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan reported this.
The head of the department, Abdurakhmon Abdurakhmonzoda, noted that Tajikistan's engagement with the UN is steadily expanding. According to him, cooperation covers such areas as sustainable development, strengthening human capital, industrialization, the digital and green economy, and other priority areas.
It is noted that the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework for 2023–2026 is aligned with the priorities of Tajikistan's National Development Strategy to 2030, the Medium-Term Development Program for 2026–2030, and the Sustainable Development Goals. This document is viewed as an important tool for implementing the state's socioeconomic policies.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their willingness to continue mutually beneficial cooperation.
