On the evening of Tuesday, February 3, Russian troops launched another massive attack on the city of Zaporizhzhia. The strikes killed two people and wounded at least 11 others, according to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.
"Eleven wounded and two dead: the number of casualties from enemy attacks in Zaporizhzhia is growing," he wrote on his Telegram channel. According to him, five multi-story residential buildings were damaged during the attack, and the air raid alert in Zaporizhzhia has been in effect for over 24 hours.
Earlier, Ivan Fedorov reported that a drone strike on a multi-story building killed two 18-year-olds—a boy and a girl. Preliminary reports indicate that at least three children, aged 11 to 15, were among the wounded.
Furthermore, on the night of February 4, the Russian Federation launched further missile strikes on Kharkiv. This was reported by Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov. He stated that two missile strikes were recorded: one on a nearby suburb of Kharkiv, and the second on the city's Saltovsky district.
"Fortunately, there were no casualties," Terekhov later clarified, adding that several private homes were damaged in the attack. He also noted the challenging weather conditions: the temperature in Kharkiv is currently minus 22 degrees Celsius, and in Zaporizhzhia, minus 13 degrees Celsius.
On the night of February 3, the Russian Federation launched massive combined missile and drone strikes against several regions of Ukraine. The Ukrainian Air Force, as well as the authorities of Kyiv and Kharkiv, reported the large-scale attack on Telegram.
As the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko, clarified this afternoon, the number of casualties in the capital has risen to seven. A similar number of injuries were recorded in Kharkiv as a result of a Russian strike on a residential building in the Saltovsky district, according to regional police.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha stated on the social media site X that Russia used a total of 450 drones and over 60 missiles during these attacks. He also claimed that Russian President Vladimir Putin waited for cooler temperatures to strike the Ukrainian energy system.
Sibiga emphasized that neither the diplomatic efforts expected in Abu Dhabi this week nor the promises made earlier to the United States had stopped the attacks. He stated that the strikes targeted civilians during the harshest winter period.
