Farmers in the Yori Jamoat in Penjikent were the first to begin planting early potatoes this year, according to the city's press service.
As reported by the Yori jamoat, taking advantage of sunny days, potatoes have been planted on an area of 3.5 hectares in the individual farms of "Khairullo," "Avaz," and others, and the sowing campaign continues.

The experience of veteran farmers shows that Yori's climate can yield a good harvest of early potatoes, which ripen before the onset of persistent heat. This year, the area planted to this important food crop will be increased to 200 hectares, part of which will be allocated to early varieties.

In total, agricultural farms in the city of Penjikent plan to plant 2,500 hectares of crops this year, including 1,000 hectares of early potatoes.
