The threat of avalanches will remain in Tajikistan on February 19–20.

Due to rising temperatures in several regions of Tajikistan on February 19 and 20, the risk of avalanches remains, according to the Tajik Hydrometeorology Agency.

According to the department, avalanche danger is expected on sections of the Dushanbe-Chanak highway (48-74 km and 78-81 km), especially in the Maikhura and Zidekh districts of the Varzob region.

The risk of avalanches also remains in the mountainous regions of republican subordination and in the western part of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.
