Football club Khujand has signed a contract with PSG alumnus Rashad Mohammed, a French winger, and Dushanbe CSKA has signed Pedro Paulo, a South American U-17 champion on the Brazilian national team, Fergana.ru reports.
Agreements with both players were signed for one year. Contract details were not disclosed.
It's worth noting that these were the last foreign player signings for both Khujand and CSKA in the current transfer window due to the foreign player cap. Mukhamed and Paulo became the seventh foreign players at their clubs. Both players are 32 years old.
Rashad Mohammed is a product of the PSG academy. He began his professional career in the lower leagues of Belgium and Norway, where he was spotted by top-flight club Sarpsborg. He became a regular with the team and helped the club reach the Europa League group stage after advancing through four qualifying rounds. During the group stage, he scored one of the fastest goals of the tournament, hitting the net against Beşiktaş in the first minute of the match.
In 2019, Muhammed signed with Erzurumspor. The team's goal was to maintain its place in the top division, but they failed to achieve this. The following season, Erzurumspor returned to the Süper Lig, but six months later, the club parted ways with him. Muhammed later returned to Sarpsborg, where he failed to establish himself, after which he moved back to Turkey and played for clubs in the Turkish First League. He also played in Saudi Arabia and Germany's fifth division.
Pedro Paulo is a product of Brazilian club Cruzeiro. He was called up to the Brazilian youth team and played in the team's U-17 Copa América victory, scoring two goals against Venezuela. He spent time on loan at Portuguese clubs, but failed to establish himself.
In 2017, Pedro Paulo continued his career in Asia, first playing in the Thai league and then in Vietnam. With Saigon, he became the league's top scorer, after which he moved to Viettel. With this team, he made his AFC Champions League debut, winning bronze in the championship and becoming the top scorer in the AFC Cup. After leaving Viettel, the player played in the Thai and Bahraini leagues.
