A case of bribery in exchange for exemption from military service has been uncovered in Tajikistan, according to the press center of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan.
As a result of operational investigative measures, it was established that Faizalizoda F.S., from March 14, 2025 to the present, holding the position of deputy military commissar – head of the conscription department of the Military Commissariat of cities and districts of republican subordination, being an official, committed intentional crimes during the period of his official activity.
According to the investigation, in October 2025, citizen R.F.T. approached Faizalizoda F.S. with a request to exempt his son, a conscript named R.A.F., from military service. Faizalizoda F.S., seeking to obtain illegal income, agreed and received $4,000 from him that same day.
Furthermore, continuing his criminal activity, in October 2025, Faizalizoda F.S. demanded and received a bribe of $6,000 from citizen R.T. for facilitating the release of his son F.N.Z. from military service. He was detained at the scene of the crime by Agency officers.
A criminal case has been opened against Faizalizoda F.S. under Part 1 of Article 319 and Part 1 of Article 391 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan. Following the completion of the preliminary investigation, the criminal case with the approved indictment has been sent to court.
