The Government of the Republic of Tajikistan is implementing a national greening program. Currently, greening of towns, mahallas, hills, and elevated areas has been intensified in all cities and districts of the country, including the capital. This was reported by the press service of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
In his latest address, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon noted that, at Tajikistan's initiative, the United Nations, taking into account the problem of climate change, declared 2025–2034 the International Decade of Cryospheric Science. To implement this initiative, a number of events are being held in Tajikistan.



Climate change is considered one of the global environmental issues that causes concern not only in Tajikistan, but also in the international community.
To take effective measures, the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan is implementing a state greening program. Currently, greening of towns, mahallas, hills, and elevated areas has been intensified in all cities and districts of the country, including the capital.



To support the greening of the capital and the transformation of Dushanbe into a green city, 3,600 ornamental pine saplings were planted in the autumn 2025 and spring 2026 tree planting seasons on the territory of the Victory Park State Unitary Enterprise and in forested areas of Dushanbe.
In addition, as part of the expansion of improvement and construction work timed to coincide with the worthy celebration of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, landscaping and tree planting events were organized.
