On February 20, 2026, the second meeting of the expert group to finalize the draft Concept for the Development of Cooperation between the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States in the Production of Advanced Materials for High-Tech Industries and the Action Plan for its Implementation was held at the Moscow Office of the CIS Executive Committee.
The event was held via videoconference with the participation of representatives from the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Kurchatov Institute Research Center, which is the base organization for the CIS member states, and the CIS Executive Committee.
The expert group meeting was chaired by Mikhail Isaevich Daskovsky, Assistant to the Director General of the Kurchatov Institute Research Center.
The experts thoroughly discussed the proposals and additions submitted by the states, finalized and approved the draft documents.
The Concept and Action Plan are expected to be presented at the CIS Heads of Government Council meeting in 2026. These documents will create conditions for cooperation among CIS member states to expand interstate collaboration in the production of advanced materials and will contribute to accelerating the implementation of innovative developments in leading high-tech industries across the CIS.
