On February 25, 2026, a meeting was held in Dushanbe between the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, Rahim Saidzoda, and Peter Burgman, a representative of the UK company Efecta. This was reported by the ministry's press service.
During the meeting, issues related to the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed on February 24 of this year between the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan and the company "Efecta" were discussed in detail.
The Minister emphasized that the significance of this document lies, first and foremost, in strengthening the industry's human resources, expanding opportunities for teachers' professional development, and ensuring access to modern digital educational resources.
It was noted that the implementation of the digital platform from Efecta, which offers extensive interactive content, a variety of audio and video materials, and a wide range of educational exercises, can contribute to the professional development of teachers and improve the quality of English language teaching in higher education institutions.
According to the Memorandum of Understanding, the pilot project envisages the registration of 1,000 students and the involvement of 200 teachers in the first 30 days.

It was emphasized that teachers' active participation in testing the platform will allow for a practical assessment of the effectiveness of artificial intelligence tools in English language teaching and will inform future decisions based on the results.
The platform is said to include over 3,000 hours of interactive content, over 20 exercise types, over 500 exclusive videos, and over 10,000 audio samples.
Such resource potential, as noted, opens up new opportunities for teachers and students and facilitates the adaptation of the education system to modern global requirements.

The Minister of Education and Science praised the project as an important step toward digitalization of the industry and the implementation of innovative technologies, emphasizing that the successful implementation of the pilot phase could create a solid foundation for further expansion of cooperation and wider implementation of the platform in secondary and higher vocational education institutions across the country.
During the meeting, the parties identified priority areas for further cooperation, including gradually expanding the project's scope, organizing joint seminars and training events to enhance platform usage skills, integrating its elements into national educational programs, developing a sustainable long-term financing model, implementing a regular reporting mechanism, and conducting joint research on the application of artificial intelligence technologies in the educational process.
The parties expressed confidence that cooperation with Efecta will contribute to improving the quality of English language teaching, developing the intellectual potential of teachers, and strengthening the international standing of the education system of the Republic of Tajikistan.
