Cognition AI and zypl.ai announced a strategic partnership to jointly bring governed artificial intelligence solutions to market for financial institutions in the Middle East and Central Asia. As part of the collaboration, banks, fintech companies, and financial infrastructure providers will gain access to Cognition's autonomous software development platforms, Devin and Windsurf, as well as zypl's Lucid platform with its zGAN synthetic data generator. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The partnership aims to accelerate the transition of AI models from pilot to production while maintaining data privacy, complying with regulatory requirements, and ensuring auditability from day one. The companies intend to reduce the time to production from quarters to weeks by combining autonomous code development, privacy-safe synthetic data generation, and model management tools.
Priority areas for implementation include modernizing the core banking systems, including migrating from COBOL to Java and transitioning to a microservices architecture, implementing regulatory-required code and reporting changes, eliminating technical debt and vulnerabilities, automating testing, and updating CI/CD pipelines. The solutions are planned to be deployed in secure cloud environments while complying with data localization requirements, ensuring zero information leakage, and providing full model lifecycle traceability.
In a comment, zypl.ai CEO Azizjon Azimi noted that the current market shortage isn't ambition, but engineering resources and secure data infrastructure. He explained that Cognition addresses the need for scalable development, while zGAN and Lucid address the need for synthetic data and model management, while addressing transparency, governance, and compliance requirements.
