On February 27, 2026, a meeting of the Council of Heads of Chambers of Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held via videoconference, the press service of the Organization's Executive Committee reported.
The meeting was attended by heads and representatives of the chambers of commerce and industry of the CIS member states, as well as representatives of the CIS Executive Committee.
The meeting was devoted to the consideration of the Plan of Main Events of the Council of Heads of Chambers of the CIS Member States for 2026, chaired by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Following the welcoming address by Elena Sergeevna Malinovskaya, Deputy Chairperson of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the participants heard presentations from Nasim Naimovich Anvarov, First Deputy Chairperson of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan; Vladimir Ivanovich Padalko, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation; Dmitry Nikolaevich Podshibyakin, Director of the Arbitration and Mediation Center of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation; Elena Mikhailovna Iskhakova, Deputy Director of the Department of Regional Development of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation; and representatives of the chambers of the CIS member states.

During the meeting, the Council's Plan of Key Events for 2026 was approved. The document provides for eight events in addition to the current meeting.
These include an in-person meeting of the Council’s Working Group on Congress and Exhibition Activities in Dushanbe in the second quarter; participation in the Forum of Permanent Arbitration Institutions under the Chambers of CIS Member States on International Commercial Arbitration in May; participation in the Russia-Islamic World: KazanForum International Economic Forum, which will be held from 12 to 17 May in Kazan (Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation); a videoconference meeting to summarize the work for the first half of 2026 and discuss work plans for the second half, as well as problematic issues, in June; participation in the BELAGRO-2026 International Exhibition from 2 to 6 June in Minsk (Republic of Belarus); participation in the 16th International Industrial Exhibition INNOPROM from 6 to 9 July in Yekaterinburg (Russian Federation); an in-person meeting of the Council as part of the 2nd International Industrial Exhibition INNOPROM. Belarus" in the third ten-day period of September in Minsk; as well as a videoconference meeting on the results of 2026 and plans for 2027 in December.
