Six people were killed and several others injured in several traffic accidents in Tajikistan, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan.
On March 2, 2026, at approximately 7:50 p.m., the driver of a Lexus RX 350, Furkat Khodjaev, born in 2001, a resident of the Varzob district, lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a concrete wall opposite the Tajik Cement Plant.
As a result, the driver, Khodjaev F.Sh., and his passengers, Sharipov Abdukarim Sharifovich, born in 2001, and Radzhabov Nodir Sobirovich, born in 2001, residents of the Varzob district, died at the scene of the accident.
Another passenger in the car, Ismatzoda Shafidzhon Fakhriddin, born in 2001, a resident of the Varzob district, sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized. An investigation into the accident is underway.
On March 3, 2026, at approximately 6:30 p.m., the driver of a Hyundai Avante, Mustafo Saidakhmadovich Khasanov, born in 1996, a resident of the Khuroson district, while driving along the Dushanbe-Bokhtar highway in the Khuroson district, lost control of the vehicle and hit cyclist Ramazon Faizovich Saidov, born in 1965, a local resident.
As a result of the accident, the cyclist died in hospital.
On the same day, March 3, 2026, at approximately 9:00 p.m., the driver of a Mercedes-Benz, Mekhrob Kurbonov, born in 1997, a resident of the Farkhor district, while driving from the village of Farkhor towards the rural jamoat of the Farkhor district, lost control of the vehicle and hit a pedestrian, Safarali Boymurodov, born in 1951, a local resident.
As a result of the collision, the pedestrian died at the scene.
On March 4, 2026, at approximately 12:30 p.m., the driver of a Ford Fusion, Ramazan Makhmadrakhimovich Alyaev, born in 1977, a resident of the city of Bokhtar, while driving from the Dangara district to the city of Bokhtar, on the 13th kilometer of the Bokhtar – Levakant – Dangara highway, lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a water pipe on the right side of the road.
As a result of the traffic accident, the passengers of the car, Akhleva Sokhibgul Rakhmatovna, born in 1987, and Mirzomurodova Lutfiya Asadulloevna, born in 1979, died at the scene.
The other passengers in the car, Basbi Abdulloevna Mirzomurodova, born in 1956, and Komildzhon Khikmatovich Mirzomurodov, born in 1975, residents of the city of Levakant, received injuries of varying severity and were hospitalized.
Internal affairs agencies conduct investigations into road traffic accidents to determine the causes and circumstances of the incident.
