On March 10, 2026, in Ludvika, Sweden, a delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan, headed by the Minister of Energy and Water Resources Daler Juma, took part in a high-level dialogue on the implementation of the CASA-1000 power transmission project.
The event was attended by representatives of the countries participating in the project, as well as the management and specialists of the contracting companies that built converter stations in Tajikistan (Sangtuda) and Pakistan (Navshera), including HITACHI ENERGY (Sweden) and Cobra Instalaciones y Servicios SA (Spain).
Daler Juma noted that Tajikistan places particular importance on the effective implementation of the project. CASA-1000 is a key initiative for regional energy integration. The project promotes electricity trade, strengthens energy security, and expands economic cooperation between the countries of Central and South Asia.
The meeting discussed issues that arose during the project implementation process.
