The open team chess tournament "Pili Damon" for students from Dushanbe's public schools has kicked off in Dushanbe, according to the Tajikistan Chess Federation.
The competition is open to schoolchildren born between 2012 and 2018, representing teams from their respective schools. The main goal of the tournament is to identify the strongest school team in Dushanbe and to promote chess among the younger generation.



The competition is held in a team format, during which young chess players demonstrate strategic thinking, team spirit, and sportsmanship.
Based on the results of the tournament, the best team will have the right to represent the Republic of Tajikistan at the Asian Championship among school teams, which will be held in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan from April 6 to 11, 2026.


The Pili Damon tournament is an important platform for the development of school chess and the identification of promising young athletes.
