During the state visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, to the Republic of Uzbekistan, the heads of state, Emomali Rahmon and Shavkat Mirziyoyev, took part in a virtual ceremony in the Kuksaroy Palace hall to mark the opening of several facilities and the launch of projects in both countries. This was reported by the press service of the President of Tajikistan.
At the direction and with the approval of the heads of state, construction work has commenced at seven sites in Tajikistan. These include the expansion of Artel's household appliance production line, the construction of the Shox Med medical clinic in Dushanbe, the creation of a textile cluster, the construction of a modern fruit processing line, the establishment of a medical solution production facility, and the launch of furniture and industrial equipment manufacturing projects in the Sughd region.



During the ceremony, the heads of state also gave permission for the opening and construction of joint projects in Uzbekistan. These include a milk processing and cheese production project, juice production, the naming of a new street in Tashkent "Dushanbe," the construction of a modern multi-story residential complex, and the establishment of a canned goods production facility.
In total, the ceremony marked the official launch of 12 projects and construction of facilities.
The total cost of the seven projects being implemented in Tajikistan is reported to be US$98 million, while the five projects in Uzbekistan are worth US$63.2 million.
It is noted that the implementation of these projects will contribute to the creation of new jobs for citizens.
