Iran has transmitted a response to the American proposal to resolve the conflict through intermediaries and is awaiting a response from Washington, the Tasnim news agency reported, citing a source.
According to him, Iran's response to the 15 points proposed by the United States was officially sent through intermediaries on Wednesday evening. Tehran is awaiting further reaction from the American side.
The source said Iran's response called for an end to "aggressive acts of killing by the enemy" and for specific conditions to be set to prevent a recurrence of the war.
Furthermore, the response emphasized the need for guarantees and a clear definition of compensation and war reparations. According to the source, Iran also insists on an end to the war on all fronts and for all resistance groups involved in the conflict in the region.
It is separately noted that Iran's sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz is called a "natural and legitimate right" that must be recognized and is also considered as a guarantee of the fulfillment of obligations by the other party.
The Associated Press previously reported that the Pakistani mediator had conveyed to Tehran a 15-point US proposal aimed at ending the fighting.
