On March 29, in the city of Khujand, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon opened the Sughd Arena sports complex with a football field and familiarized himself with the games of youth sports teams from the Sughd region.
The sports complex reportedly includes 11 spacious halls, as well as a main hall with a 1,000-seat capacity. Teenagers and young adults now have the opportunity to participate in 14 sports. It is noted that this is the first sports complex in the Sughd region with such extensive facilities, meeting the requirements for hosting regional, national, and international competitions.
50 new jobs have been created at the Sugd Arena sports complex.

Emomali Rahmon highly praised the work completed and the conditions created for youth and adolescents, instructing responsible agencies and athletes to effectively utilize the available opportunities to improve their professional skills.
In the future, the Sughd Region national teams will improve their athletic skills in modern conditions to participate in national and international competitions, which, as noted, will contribute to increased achievements.

This sports facility was built within the framework of the creative policy of the Government of the country by the executive body of state power of the Sughd region.
The stadium complex is designed for 3,000 spectators and will be used as a training base for the Khujand football team.

The area around the sports complex has been landscaped in accordance with requirements: lighting has been installed, landscaping has been done, and banners and slogans promoting a healthy lifestyle have been placed.
