The State Unitary Enterprise "Center for Digitalization of the Transport Sector" of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan has received resident status at IT-Park Dushanbe. The Ministry announced this.
According to the Center's Director, Sukhrob Yokubzoda, the new status entitles residents to tax breaks and other government preferences. In accordance with the Tax Code of Tajikistan, IT Park residents are exempt from all taxes, with the exception of personal income tax at 6% and social tax at 1%.
In addition, the import of innovative equipment used for the Center's activities within the IT Park is exempt from value-added tax and customs duties.
Residents also have access to IT Park's infrastructure, including workspaces, internet access, and coworking meeting areas. The Center will also have the opportunity to expand professional networks and interact with other residents.
The Transport Digitalization Center of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan was officially opened on October 29, 2024, with the participation of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and the Mayor of Dushanbe, Rustami Emomali, during their visit to the Ministry of Transport. The Center was established based on the instructions of the head of state regarding the digitalization of the road transport sector.
The agency's responsibilities include implementing digital control systems to regulate vehicle traffic, including in remote areas of the country, equipping road equipment with GPS systems for monitoring and route optimization, collecting data on road assets for subsequent electronic certification, processing license applications, transitioning to the digital exchange of permits for international freight transport, and preventing the movement of heavy vehicles using modern dynamic scales.
On April 7, 2025, the country's first IT Park—a specialized platform for supporting and developing high-tech companies, startups, and IT projects—was opened in Dushanbe.
