A Tajik government delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Sulaimon Ziyozoda visited the city of Panjakent on April 13. The purpose of the visit was to review the implementation of President Emomali Rahmon's instructions aimed at developing agriculture and ensuring food security.
The delegation included Minister of Agriculture Kurbon Hakimzoda and Head of the Sughd Regional Department of Agriculture Marufjon Sharifiyon, the city's press service reported .
Together with the city's chairman, Abdukholik Kholiqzoda, the delegation learned about the progress of spring field work, the use of arable land, the planting of orchards and vineyards, and the preparation of irrigation facilities.






During the trip, government representatives visited a pistachio orchard in the Dashti Kozi area of the Yori Jamoat. They also learned about early potato cultivation and carrot sowing at the Mirzo Kiyomov farm in the Khalifa Hasan Jamoat.
The delegation members took part in a potato planting campaign at the Juma Odin farm and also visited a subsidiary farm of the city's state forestry department in the Rudaki jamoat.
In addition, the delegation was introduced to the process of developing coastal lands, preparing irrigation facilities, and the activities of a family livestock farm.





Following the working visit, a working meeting was held following a visit to the intensive garden of Khakim Kurbonov's farm in the Loik Sherali jamoat and the intensive garden of entrepreneur Shavkat Boboev in the Sarazm jamoat.
The meeting was attended by industry officials, employees of the agricultural department, and chairmen and farmers of the city's jamoats.
