On April 15, 2026, in Dushanbe, Minister of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan Daler Juma held a videoconference with Melissa Brown, a representative of the United States Energy Association. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for developing bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and the United States in the energy sector. Particular attention was paid to expanding cooperation in the use of renewable energy sources, attracting investment, and implementing modern technologies.


The dialogue also addressed key issues, including the progress of construction of the Rogun Hydroelectric Power Plant, the implementation of the CASA-1000 regional power transmission project, the development of solar energy, the preservation of glaciers as an important source of water resources, and the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies in the energy sector.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to further strengthen cooperation and implement joint projects aimed at sustainable development of the energy sector and increasing Tajikistan's export potential.
