On April 15, 2026, an extended working meeting was held in Hisor, chaired by the mayor and member of the Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Jabbor Nosirzoda. Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Dilrabo Mansuri also participated in the meeting, according to the city's press service.
The meeting reviewed the socioeconomic development results of Gissar for the first quarter of 2026. The meeting was attended by city leadership, representatives of law enforcement agencies, executive branch departments, jamoats, rural communities, organizations, public and religious associations, and the media.
Deputy Mayor Gulnoza Ziyoviddinzoda delivered a report, presenting the development results for the reporting period and outlining existing problems and shortcomings in various areas.
According to the data presented, the regional product increased by 104.9 million somoni in the first quarter of 2026 compared to the same period last year. Growth was recorded in several key sectors: industry (106.8%), agriculture (104.4%), investment and construction (195.1%), trade turnover (103.5%), and services (110.5%).


Trade accounts for the largest share of the regional product, 62.5%. Agriculture accounts for 14.4%, investment and construction for 11.5%, industry for 5.9%, and services for 5.7%.
The city budget's revenue performance was particularly notable: the plan, including the extra-budgetary social tax, was fulfilled by 103%. The budget received 95,688,700 somoni, exceeding the planned figure by 2,808,500 somoni.



During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister and the Mayor highlighted existing shortcomings in education and healthcare, industry, construction, agriculture, trade, and services. Responsible officials were briefed and given instructions to address the identified problems.
Following the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister described the city's socioeconomic development in the first quarter as sustainable and wished Gissar's leadership continued success, as well as effective preparations for the celebration of the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan's state independence.
