On April 14, the Ministry of Education and Science of Tajikistan held a working meeting of the headquarters for the first round of the "Science – the Beacon of Enlightenment" national competition. This was reported by the ministry's press center.
The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan and head of the Republican Competition Commission, Dilrabo Mansuri.
During the meeting, it was noted that national competitions, including "Science—the Beacon of Enlightenment," "The Book of Wisdom—the Radiance of Dawn," "Tajikistan—My Beloved Homeland," and "Reading the Shahnameh," are under the special attention of President Emomali Rahmon and play an important role in raising the level of education in society.
According to the meeting participants, over the past six years, the "Science – Beacon of Enlightenment" competition has become a significant platform for identifying young talent and developing scientific thinking. The participation of students, teachers, and researchers demonstrates a growing interest in science.
Particular attention was paid to improving the competition. Specifically, a new category, "Artificial Intelligence and Programming," was introduced, and modern specialties that meet labor market demands were introduced into the higher education system.
In addition, a regulatory document has been developed regulating the procedure for admitting competition winners to higher education institutions.
Following the meeting, Dilrabo Mansouri instructed relevant ministries, agencies, and local authorities to ensure that all stages of the competition are conducted at a high level, in compliance with the principles of transparency and current regulations.
