On April 17, 2026, the fourth meeting of the Working Group on Investment Cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the People's Republic of China was held in Dushanbe. The meeting was chaired by the Head of the Main Investment Department of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of Tajikistan and the Deputy Director of the Department of Investment and Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce of China, according to the press service of the Tajik ministry.
Representatives of relevant ministries and departments of the two countries took part in the meeting.


During the discussions, the parties examined the current state and prospects for developing investment cooperation, and also focused on attracting foreign direct investment, implementing joint projects, developing priority economic sectors, and improving the investment climate.
Areas for expanding cooperation in such areas as industry, energy, transport, infrastructure, and modern technology were discussed separately. Following the discussions, the participants confirmed their commitment to further strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to intensify work in key areas and take specific measures to advance joint projects and attract new investment.
