The 4th Congress of Dentists of the Republic of Tajikistan opened in Dushanbe. The event was held on April 17, 2026, at the initiative of the Tajikistan Dentists Association in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan. The Hyatt Regency Hotel served as the venue, according to the Ministry of Health of Tajikistan.
The congress was attended by leading industry experts from Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, and the United States.
Opening the event, the leadership of the Tajikistan Dentists' Association delivered a welcoming speech, noting that dentistry in the Republic of Tajikistan is a key area of healthcare, with special attention paid to the diagnosis and treatment of patients with dental diseases. The country employs highly qualified specialists who utilize modern diagnostic and treatment methods using the latest medical equipment. As a result, the level and quality of medical services has improved in recent years.



Association representatives stated that the congress serves as an important scientific and practical platform for strengthening professional collaboration, sharing best practices, and discussing the latest advances in dentistry. They also noted that the participation of renowned scientists and high-level experts from various countries demonstrates growing interest in developing the industry in Tajikistan.
Congress participants emphasized that dentistry, as an important part of modern medicine, is rapidly developing and reaching new levels thanks to the introduction of innovative technologies, modern diagnostic and treatment methods, and scientific advances. In this context, holding such events contributes to the advanced training of specialists and the expansion of international cooperation. Participants believe the congress will provide a platform for developing constructive proposals, discussing pressing industry issues, and exploring new areas of collaboration. Its results are expected to have a positive impact on the development of dentistry both in Tajikistan and at the regional and international levels.




During the congress, specialists presented a number of reports on key issues in the industry. Among them are the prevention of dental diseases in the prenatal period, respiratory disorders in children, anatomical and clinical basis of subperiosteal implantation in severe alveolar ridge atrophy and jaw defects, reasons for patient visits to dentists, application of distraction osteogenesis principles in orthognathic surgery, clinical case of treating a patient with Gorlin-Goltz syndrome using modified Carnoy solution, orthopedic rehabilitation after maxillofacial surgeries, choice of pain relief methods in the treatment of dental diseases, comparative analysis of orthognathic treatment of patients with jaw deformities, development of orthopedic and dental rehabilitation concepts, prevention and treatment of periodontal diseases in patients undergoing orthodontic treatment, modern approaches to treatment using dental implantation, as well as rehabilitation methods for children with congenital defects of the lip and palate and other relevant issues.
