During a working visit to the Khatlon region, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Police Colonel General Ramazon Rahimzoda, met with the region's law enforcement personnel. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan.
The meeting took place on April 18, 2026, with the participation of employees of the regional internal affairs agencies and their divisions in cities and districts.
Opening the meeting, the minister spoke about the implementation of the directives and instructions of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon. He emphasized that, in anticipation of the 35th anniversary of the country's independence and to ensure complete political stability, it is necessary to strengthen the fight against phenomena that undermine the interests of the state and the nation.




During the meeting, Ramazon Rahimzoda also gave a number of additional instructions concerning strengthening the fight against terrorism and extremism, preventing offenses and crime, including among youth and minors, as well as preventing drug trafficking and other crimes.
Particular attention was paid to preventing crime among minors and young people. The minister noted the need to take effective measures, strengthen outreach efforts, and hold meetings with parents and local police officers.
In concluding his speech, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs called on police officers to conscientiously serve the people and the state and emphasized the importance of constant readiness to protect the achievements of the independence period.
